I have a 14 lb mini schnauzer and he loves to push this ball around and eat up all the kibble. When there is no kibble in it, he has no desire to play with it. My dog doesn't like the hard rubber toys to chew on. I put his food in the ball or small treats. They fall out fairly easy. It's a bit heavier than I expected so I wouldn't recommend throwing it around indoors. My mini isn't as aggressive a chewer like some dogs so I'm not sure how it would stand up to them.
